Andhra Pradesh Govt. ban on roadshows and public meetings: Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan issue joint statement

In a joint statement, TDP Chief and Former Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan said they are united in their endeavors to "save democracy in Andhra Pradesh" from the ruling YSRCP-led Jagan Mohan Reddy government, and bring the accountable governance.
Recently unfortunately, a few were killed, and many people were injured in a stampede in Chandrababu Naidu's rallies in Guntur, which may have forced the AP government to put this ban.
Pawan Kalyan met Chandrababu Naidu at his Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad residence and extended support to the TDP's fight against the Jagan Reddy's government, especially concerning banning public meetings and roadshows, with both Naidu and Kalyan are affected being the prominent opposition leaders. In the joint statement, both leaders also said, "Andhra Pradesh is now undergoing a worse situation than the Emergency."
Both leaders stressed that "saving democracy in Andhra Pradesh" was their primary objective, and the issue of a possible alliance (between the TDP and the Jana Sena Party) could be discussed later.
"The situation in Andhra Pradesh right now is worse than the Emergency. We will work with all opposition parties to save democracy in AP. We will bring this issue to the Centre's ruling Modi Government notice as the Centre Government has every right to intervene in such situations," the two leaders said at the end of their two-hour-long meeting.
Naidu said attempts are being made to crush the voice of the opposition in the state. He announced that all the political parties and people's organizations would wage a combined war to save democracy.
