11,000 Street Corner Meetings Scheduled

The Telangana BJP braces up for the Assembly polls to be held in December this year; the BJP has launched its election campaign to conduct 11,000 street corner meetings across the Telangana state.
BJP has named this mass outreach program 'Praja Gosa-BJP Bharosa' (people's grief - BJP's assurance) is aimed at strengthening the party's leadership at the ground level and "exposing" the ruling BRS government's alleged failures. The campaign had kick-started on February 10 and is currently ongoing in full swing.
The BJP has set up a target to organize 11,000 street corner meetings in 15 days; Kaasam Venkateswarlu, BJP Telangana Vice President (V.P) and state coordinator for the campaign, briefed this to Media on Sunday. The meetings are being conducted in the BJP's strongholds Booth areas to strengthen its presence further and ensure more voters in its favor.
While strengthening local leadership, the primary aim of this campaign is to "expose" grassroots-level problems that affect the people's daily lives in Telangana and alleged corruption by the ruling BRS party's MLAs without losing sight of the BRS government's administrative failures.
Similarly, the campaign is also aimed to highlight the welfare schemes and achievements of the BJP-led Modi government at the Centre, such as the distribution of free rice, free COVID-19 vaccines, Rs 10,000 loan to street vendors, funds to Gram Panchayats, and Nation's economy recovery post COVID-19 pandemic.
