BRS MLA Poaching case: Telangana Govt. asked the Supreme Court Judge over the State High Court decision to transfer the case to CBI

The BRS led the Telangana government asked in the Supreme Court, the State High Court decision to transfer the investigation into an alleged attempt to poach 4 Bharat Rashtra Samithi - BRS' legislators to CBI.
Appearing before a Bench led by Justice B. R. Gavai, senior advocate Dushyant Dave for the Telangana Govt., asked, "How can I go to CBI? The allegations are against the BJP in the FIR. What is the point of sending it to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)? The Centre controls the CBI".
"This is a very, very serious issue. Our investigation by the Telangana Govt. appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) was not allowed to go an inch forward. The issues involved are extremely severe that they will affect the very foundation of democracy… The judiciary is the only institution left to save democracy," The Telangana Govt' lawyer submitted. The Supreme court listed the case for February 27.
On November 9, The Telangana government had ordered a 7-member SIT to probe into the alleged attempt to poach the State' Ruling Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) MLAs. The Hyderabad High Court later transferred the case from the State-controlled SIT to the Centre's controlled CBI.
