Amit Shah talks Telangana Muslim quota into his election rally, MIM, BRS, and Congress fire back

The ruling Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS), Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM, and the Congress party have slammed Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, for saying at a public rally on Sunday that if the BJP comes to power in Telangana State, they will scrap the 4% reservation of Muslims.
Home Minister said in a rally at Chevella that the reservation of Muslims in Telangana is unconstitutional and would be scrapped. Instead, the benefit would be extended to SCs, STs, and OBCs.
Telangana's ruling BRS, AIMIM, and INC accused HM Amit Shah of "undermining" the Supreme Court's Constitutional Bench before which the Muslim reservation issue is pending.
Congress announced that it would approach the 5-judge Bench to pass criticisms against Mr. Shah for making such a statement; Telangana INC leader Md. Shabbir Ali said: "Is Mr. Shah bigger than the Constitutional Bench? Will a minister determine the fate of the Muslim quota when the Supreme Court of India is looking at the matter? Mr. Shah seems to be unaware of the matter."
The AIMIM National President Asaduddin Owaisi said, "The 4% Reservation to backward Muslims is based on available data and their backwardness, and not due to their religion. When the Supreme Court of India (SCI) has given a stay and 4% reservation to Muslims is continuing, how can HM Amit Shah claim it shall be canceled?"
BRS spokesperson Ravula Sridhar Reddy said Amit Shah's statement was another signal that "the BJP is greedy to grab power by any means possible." "Amit Shah has turned the 4% Muslim quota into a religious matter. He does not know the difference between an Unconstitutional and Constitutional Quota, as the 4% Muslim Quota in Telangana is Constitutional and does not breach the 50% reservation ceiling. Amit Shah's announcement is nothing, but it is a hate speech and a cheap effort to divide people of the nation."
