Just months away, Telangana Chief Minister and BRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao changed his party name from Telangana Rashtra Samiti to Bharat Rashtra Samiti. After that, the BRS is actively taking its footprints beyond Telangana into National Politics. Recently, BRS conducted a massive rally in neighboring Maharashtra's Nanded and pitched for the 'Abki baar, Kisan sarkar' pro-farmer policy; the Chief Minister KCR said the farmers should come forward and take the reins of the country.
He touched the raw nerve of the BJP - Shiv Sena-ruled Maharashtra Government and claimed that the Marathi state has the highest number of farmers' suicide across the country. KCR said 75 years is a long period for the country as it celebrates its 75th independence anniversary. He said it's time for the farmers to unite, take power into their own hands, and become MPs and MLAs.
KCR lauded 'Abki ki baar, Kisan sarkar' (This time around, a government for the farmers) with many BRS senior leaders available on the stage. He added, If we (Farmers) unite, it is not impossible. In India, farmers constitute more than 42 percent, and if the number of farm laborers is added, it will be more than 50 percent, which is sufficient to form a government," KCR said.
