Telangana: Permission granted to start classes
in 6 govt medical colleges from 2023-24

The BRS-led Telangana Govt. has been granted permission by the National Medical Commission (NMC) to start classes in 6 govt. Medical colleges in Telangana from the academic year 2023-24
T Harish Rao, Telangana Health Minister, tweeted Wednesday night, said the approval process for Karimnagar, Nirmal, and Sircilla Medical Colleges is in the final stage, and rest 6 has got the nod from NMC to start classes from this year.
The Health Minister said, "Delighted to share that, out of 9 medical colleges built by the Telangana Govt., 6 medical colleges have got permission to start functioning - Asifabad, Jangaon, Kamareddy, Vikarabad, Bhupalpally, and Khammam. The approval process of Nirmal, Karimnagar, and Sircilla Medical Colleges has reached the final stage."
The Top BRS Leader and Minister further said the Telangana government is briskly moving onward in setting up 1 medical college per district towards Chief Minister KCR's vision of "ArogyaTelangana."
Thus, getting NMC nodes for 6 out of 9 new Medical Colleges would help BRS add up positive sentiment ahead of the Assembly elections due in December this year. It adds up to the achievements BRS led Telangana Government has achieved in the 9 years since BRS has been in power.
