Telangana Government Regularised more than 5,000 Contract Employees across 40 Departments

The Telangana government has regularized more than 5,000 contract employees in 40 departments of the Telangana state government. Chief Minister KCR passed the file to regularise employees on Sunday, following which State Finance Minister T Harish Rao tweeted the Government Order for the regularisation of 5,544 contract employees.
The contract employees whose services have now been regularized include 2,909 junior lecturers, 180 junior lecturers (vocational), 873 multipurpose health assistants in the Health Department, 390 polytechnic lecturers, 270-degree lecturers, 158 pharmacists, and 179 lab technicians.
Further, the Chief Minister signed several other files after taking over in his new office in the new Secretariat launched recently. The first file related to the implementation of the Telangana Govt.'s Dalit Bandhu Scheme in 2023-24, extending its benefits to 1,100 beneficiaries across 118 Assembly constituencies (except the Huzurabad constituency, where the scheme has already been implemented).
The second file, signed by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and BRS Chief, is related to the CM KCR - Nutrition Kit for pregnant women of Telangana. These kits will be distributed in all the districts of Telangana, would benefit lakhs of pregnant women, with the distribution of 13.08 lakh kits across the state.
